Oliver H. Xie is an incoming Assistant Professor of Finance at MIT Sloan. <\/span><\/p>\n

His research in international finance and macrofinance focuses on the international monetary system and the prevailing dominance of the US dollar. In particular, he studies how currencies facilitate the trade of goods and capital, for example, why firms tend to invoice the sale of their goods in different currencies and choose the currency denomination of their debt. <\/p>\n

He received his PhD from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
