His work has been recognized, among others, with the PSOR Best Paper Award (2nd place, 2024), the MSOM Best OM Paper in OR Award (2023), the Applied Probability Society Best Publication Award (2021), the George B. Dantzig Dissertation Award (2018), the Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research and Analytics (2018), and a Best Paper award at the ACM SIGCAS COMPASS conference (2018). Daniel is an AE for <em>Operations Research<\/em>&nbsp;and<span class='apple-converted-space'><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/span>frequently serves on ACM program committees (<em>e.g.<\/em>, EC, EAAMO, TheWebConf).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class='elementtoproof' style='margin: 0in 0in 8.0pt 0in;'><span style='color: black;'>Daniel holds a BSc in mathematics from the University of Warwick (UK), as well as an MS and a PhD in applied mathematics from Cornell University, where he was advised by David B. Shmoys.
