Antoinette\u00a0Schoar is the\u00a0Stewart C. Myers-Horn Family Professor of Finance, MIT Sloan School of Management.<\/p>\n

She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree from Germany. Her research interests span from entrepreneurial finance to fintech, consumer finance and financial intermediation. She has received several awards including the Kauffman Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship and the Brattle Prize for best paper in the Journal of Finance.\u00a0 She is the co-chair of the NBER Corporate Finance group. She has served as an associate editor of\u00a0The Journal of Finance, The American Economic Journal: Applied Economics<\/em>, and the\u00a0Journal of Economic Perspectives<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She also is the cofounder of the non-profit organization ideas42<\/a>\u00a0that uses insights from behavioral economics and psychology to solve social problems.<\/p>\n

Antoinette Schoar is the co-director of the\u00a0MIT Sloan Consumer Finance Initiative<\/a>.
